I only continued to the end as I thought it might get better - it didn't, it got worse - and to enjoy the increasingly preposterousness of the plot; for example, Neeson looked haggard but was nevertheless able to unhitch a railway car from the train pulling it with only his bare hands, a feat similar to Superman picking up the Empire State Building. I really liked how this film took fairly cliched scenarios (moral dilemma + seemingly 'omnipotent' adversaries ...) and put some unique little originalities to the story that made it fun and make sense.
